by Richie: The power of music is amazing, I remember when I first heard this song I was about 14 and It sent chills through my body because of the words. I played it over and over on my turntable and learned the words and how to play it on the guitar. I used to sing it when I was feeling down and it always brought a smile to my face. There was a period during the 90's and early 2000's that I was not able to even find the song. Then as the Internet and YouTube exploded and I heard the song again I got the same feelings and I experienced the same sensation as if I had first heard it after years of not hearing it I remember where I was and what I was doing during the times that this song was played. That's when there was no cursing in music and most of the music had real lyrics and meaning. Now a days the kids growing up missed the greatest period of R&B music because they don't have music like this too reflect on their life with. It's important to have positive music, uplifting lyrics and powerful sounds to illicit positive memories. II think that people should pull out the old music like this and share it with their kids and grand kids to give them something positive to listen to and to build positive memories with these songs.
